At the beginning of each session, the practitioner will check in with you to understand any areas of concern. They will then intuitively incorporate the techniques your body needs, ensuring a personalized and effective healing experience. Modalities may include trigger point release, acupressure, Tui Na massage, dry massage techniques and stretching, tailored to support your body's unique healing process.

Depending on the intensity of the massage and your body's sensitivity, some mild soreness or tenderness can occur after an Integrative Massage, especially if deep pressure or stretching were used. This is similar to post-workout soreness as your muscles and fascia adjust to the stimulation.
Possible Causes of Pain After Dry Massage:
Increased Blood Flow & Circulation – Can cause temporary tenderness.
Release of Tension & Knots – Deep pressure can cause soreness in tight muscles.
Microtears in Muscle Fibers – Similar to exercise, massage can create tiny tears that lead to mild soreness.
Detoxification Process – Massage stimulates lymphatic drainage, which may cause fatigue or mild discomfort as toxins are flushed out.
How to Reduce Post-Massage Pain:
Hydrate Well – Helps flush out toxins and reduce soreness.
Gentle Stretching – Keeps muscles flexible and relaxed.
Warm Bath or Compress – Soothes soreness and enhances circulation.
Rest & Deep Breathing – Supports recovery and relaxation.
If the pain is severe or lasts more than a couple of days, it could indicate too much pressure was used or an underlying issue.
Please don't hesitate to ask questions during a session!!
Possible Questions the Practitioner May Ask During the Session to Meet Your Comfort Level
How is the pressure?
Are you comfortable in this position?
Is the pain is it getting better or worse as we work?
Are you warm enough?
It’s important to communicate openly with your practitioner during your session. If anything feels uncomfortable, please let them know so adjustments can be made to ensure your comfort and well-being. Additionally, sharing information about sore spots or areas of discomfort can help the practitioner pinpoint the source of pain, allowing for more targeted and effective treatment.
My goal as a therapist is to allow a restructuring of the system, and surrendering of habitual patterns of the body, mind, spirit and soul that causes disfunction.
I am not a full body relaxation massage therapist or a spa massage therapist.
